The Cisco Aironet 1200 Series Access Point Platform includes two empty radio slots for both an 802.11b Mini-PCI radio module and an 802.11a CardBus radio module. Both radio modules must be ordered separately.

Technical Information:

• 802.11b Radio Module: If support for 802.11b clients is required, select an 802.11b radio module based on your regulatory domain, for more details see the Regulatory Domain Options section. Note that this module does not come with an antenna which must be ordered as a separate item that will not be integrated into the access point.
• 802.11a Radio Module: If support for 802.11a clients is required, select an 802.11a radio based on your regulatory domain, for more details see the Regulatory Domain Options section. Note that since the 802.11a module includes an integrated antenna, no additional antenna is required or available for the 802.11a module.
• Power cord selection by country (included with the access point at no extra charge).
• Powering options: Ships with a 110-220V wall transformer (at no extra charge). If power over Ethernet is preferred an optional power injector may be configured (at an additional cost). For 802.11a and dual radio 802.11b/802.11a configurations, a power injector or Cisco Catalyst? 3550 Series Switch is required for power over Ethernet. For 802.11b-only configurations, Cisco line power-enabled devices like switches and patch panels may be used instead of the power injector.
• Console Configuration Cable can be purchased separately for use in initial configuration.
